RM of Orkney’s story

The Rural Municipality of Orkney No. 244 lies in the southeast part of Saskatchewan. It was incorporated as a rural municipality on January 1, 1913.

The RM surrounds the city of Yorkton, the town of Springside and the village of Ebenezer, and the communities of Orcadia and Willowbrook are found within its boundaries. Today it is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Thursday of each month, and its office is in Yorkton.
